The Telemedicine facility has been a boon to the North East Indian states. The geographical terrain of this area, very low doctors to patients ratio and low income of the people of this area have been always acting as hurdles in timely and effective treatment of diseases. The Telemedicine facility provided by ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) and other private agents has really helped the people of this area. Consultations from various superspeciality hospitals can be sought. CMEs and seminars held at various places are participated which are really useful for students undergoing PG courses.
